The first word that comes to mind is jaw-dropping. Every detail of the InGoop Summit was immaculately curated, which is no surprise if you’ve been following Gwyneth’s brand, Goop. As someone who appreciates a beautiful aesthetic, I was thrilled to see it done so perfectly. I’ll admit, I had hesitations about the ticket price, but the moment I stepped into Milk Studios, it all made sense. I’m not sure if it was the endless lineup of uplifiting drinks—matcha, botanical elixirs, cold brew—but my cheeks hurt from the permanent smile on my face! A room filled with 200+ inspirational women, new brands in the health and wellness space and expanding talks, this felt like i had entered heaven. Later, back at my friend Veronica’s place, she said I was practically glowing with happiness and passion. So, what did my day at goop look like?
A Day at InGoop
I arrived at 9 AM to the most lively staff greeting me at the door. It immediately took me back to my summer camp days at Sky Ranch, where the counselors would be jumping up and down with excitement as you arrived. The woman at the front desk snapped a photo of me in front of the Goop sign, and we shared a few laughs before I ventured in to see what all the fuss was about.
The moment I stepped inside, I was handed a pair of brand-new leggings by New Balance and Goop—what a way to start! To my left was a stunning buffet by The Butcher’s Daughter (one of my favorite LA spots), featuring gluten-free bagels, chia pudding with homemade coconut yogurt, overnight oats, and green smoothies. The foodie in me was absolutely swooning. I grabbed some breakfast and sat down with two women, one in PR and the other an architect, and we chatted about why we came to the event and shared our excitement.
After breakfast, I wandered over to the matcha booth by Autonomy Foods to try their creations before heading to chat with Terry about the futuristic sleep pods they brought in for everyone to sample. The pods looked straight out of a sci-fi movie! Unfortunately, I didn’t get a chance to try them because the talks were about to begin—but I was already buzzing with excitement for what was next!
I made my way to the main stage, where we began with a prayer to the directions and a beautiful welcome ceremony led by shaman Ale Sa. It felt like the entire room was energetically cleared, and the atmosphere instantly became lighter and more uplifting
Incredible Speakers:
Our first speaker was Kate Bowler, an author and professor at Duke University, and wow, she knocked it out of the park! Talk about a captivating speaker—she had us all engaged, laughing, and feeling inspired. Here are some of my favorite takeaways from her talk:
- We’re always striving to become something more, but why is it so tough to simply be?
- If you’re going through hell, don’t come out empty-handed.
- There’s deep wisdom in a broken heart—it can shape us and help us move forward.
- Let’s drop the “best life” and “good vibes only” pressure; it’s okay to have bad days. Embracing the ups and downs is what makes life authentic.
The next speaker, Ella Bell Smith, was an absolute firecracker! She had us write a list of our best qualities, which most struggled with, and then she asked us to list our weaknesses—something that came a lot easier. She pointed out how naturally hard we are on ourselves, and how much kinder we’d be to others if we could just extend a little of that kindness inward. She says’ when we are easier on ourselves, we are easier on others’
We broke out into our lunch groups, and mine was up first, treated to a delicious spread catered by Goop Kitchen. I opted for the Thai noodle salad with tofu—simple, fresh, and absolutely satisfying. I didn’t stick around too long, though, because I was eager to dive into the pop-up room and make the most of every experience it offered.
The pop-up felt like my personal paradise. I started with a microcurrent facial by ZIIP and had an insightful chat with the founder about how it can help with TMJ, which is where I hold most of my stress (definitely guilty of being a jaw-clencher!). From there, I picked up a gorgeous silk slip and robe courtesy of Intimissimi, followed by a refreshing collagen mocktail from Aphina.
Next, I stopped by the BodyBio booth to talk with Dr. Kristine Profeta Gedroic about Phosphatidylcholine. She explained how it supports improved brain function, mental clarity, smoother digestion, better detoxification, and more consistent energy. I opened up about my struggles with brain fog and candida, and her advice left me feeling hopeful. I’m excited to try the product regularly and see how it helps with my personal wellness journey. Stay tuned!
With 45 minutes until the next panel, I made the most of my time in the pop-up room. My next stop: a B12 shot! As I waited in line, I realized Gwenyth and Kate were right behind me. We exchanged a few words about the event, and I couldn’t help but notice how Gwenyth genuinely connected with nearly everyone there, which only deepened my love for Goop. In a world where net worth, fame, and achievements often divide us, this event felt refreshingly different. There was no pedestal, just a shared energy of encouragement and inspiration, making it clear that we all had a place in the room—and that we, too, can reach for big dreams. With the renewed energy from the b12 shot i floated over to get my make up done by Goop Beauty, create my own natural perfume with (insert) and followed that with having magnets placed on accupuncture points by Wthn. I was CHARGED up!
Time for the final speakers! I made a quick stop at the snack bar before settling in. It was stocked with some of my favorite brands like Gato Dates, Sweet Potato Awesome, Siete, Nora, and more! I found a spot at the back with my new friend Sarah… though staying still was a challenge with all the caffeine coursing through my veins!
First up was Vanessa Marin, who spoke on relationships and the often-taboo topic of sex. She emphasized how crucial it is to openly communicate with our partners, which I couldn’t agree with more! After all, more communication can lead to a more fulfilling sex life, right? 😉 Who doesn’t want that with the person they love? Following Vanessa was an “Ask Me Anything” session with Gwyneth herself. She got real about her vulnerabilities, her love for Goop, and the incredible community it’s created.
Then at 3 p.m., we had a fireside chat with Dr. Kristine Profeta Gedroic. Dr. Gedroic discussed the importance of detoxing to give our bodies a chance to release built-up toxins. She highlighted that our skin “eats,” so we should be mindful of what we’re applying topically—avoiding toxins that carry negative vibrations! Gwyneth asked her for the basics to maintain cellular health, and Dr. Gedroic recommended researching ingredients, staying hydrated, and sweating regularly. Couldn’t agree more!
The final panel featured an inspiring lineup: Cameron Brink (WNBA player), Beatrice Dixon (founder of The Honey Pot), and Trina Spear (founder of Figs). These powerhouse women filled the room with energy and shared their journeys of building success as women in their fields. Beatrice Dixon’s story of how The Honey Pot came to be was especially moving—I’ll leave it to her to share, but it’s definitely one worth looking up!
As the day wrapped up, I felt a mix of exhaustion and an incredible rush of confidence. On my way out, Sarah asked if I’d paid for this experience myself and if I’d made any work connections. I shared that once a year, I love to do something purely for me, with no agenda, just for the joy of it. Funny enough, I hadn’t realized that was my intention with Goop until the day was over. But it felt so right. We lined up for our amazing gift bags filled with over 20 incredible Goop-approved brands, said goodbye to our new friends, and stepped back out into the world, feeling a little more inspired.
Would I recommend going to a Goop event? HELL YES!
